WHAT WAS YOUR BACKGROUND BEFORE ATTENDING CRANE OPERATING SCHOOL?
I’ve actually been in the field since I graduated high school. I’ve just been in industrial construction my whole life. When I applied to trade school, I was looking to get a certificate to start practicing within the field and receive higher-paying jobs.
HOW HAS COLORADO CRANE OPERATOR SCHOOL AFFECTED YOUR CAREER PATH?
As I mentioned, I’ve been in the industrial construction field for a long time. I’m also a pipe fitter and I have several certificates to practice many different trades. I was looking for my newest one and Mia Share helped me achieve that.
HOW DID MIA SHARE HELP YOU ON YOUR EDUCATIONAL JOURNEY?
When I applied, the administration told me about their tuition options and mentioned Mia Share. I didn’t really have a secondary method of payment. I had money saved but wasn’t looking to put in the up-front capital. I applied and everything moved forward super smooth. I’m currently making ISA payments and honestly have nothing to even suggest, it’s that simple.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN FIVE YEARS?
This is more of a 10-year plan, but I’m getting ready to retire. After 25 years in the industry and having kids who are graduating, I’m looking to kick back, relax, and maybe travel a little bit.
WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR THOSE PURSUING A TRADE SCHOOL EDUCATION?
If you have an interest and are looking to make a career out of it, just follow your gut and pursue what you want in life. Trade industries are some of the most rewarding careers. If you do your best at your job and you’re good at it, you will see the fruits of your labor very quickly!
